Like three days ago Jo showed me this auction for a Barbie Decor Dining set. I’d been whining and pining over these Decor sets because they were REALLY nice!!! It was a Target exclusive back in like… 1999 and back then I kept staring at these things but I never bought em. And now I severely regret not buying them, like, hit myself in the head with a hammer, type of regret for not buying. So on a total buying whim and a lot of luck, Jo and I bought this set. 😀 I say we bought it because I was a little short on cash and she paid for half. She’s a super friend like that!!! *huggles mah jo* I think she just wanted me to shut up about these sets. hahahaha

The set is really nice. First of all, it’s not pink! It’s nice and white. 🙂 And they added a lot of detail to it. They even packed the plates with a plastic sheet in between each plate to keep them from scratching each other. Only complaints I have are that the cushion and table cloth has cherries on it, but the cherries are a neon pink. The dishes too, could have been a better color. But hey, even though they’re neon, they’re still very cute dishes. I even got an extra bowl because there were two stuck together when they packaged. Go me and my extra goodies luck!

Why Mattel didn’t continue with this line… who knows. But it’s so hard to find now, they go for a bajillion bucks on eBay. (well not THAT much but it sure feels like it). I’m VERY pleased with this set and now want the other sets that go with it. Thanks again Jo for helping me get it. 😀
