About Chiaki : Chiaki is Nanami's best friend since third grade. Very much like Hisoka and Keisuke, Chiaki and Nanami are always found together. She lives down the street from the Kitamura family with her parents and twin younger brothers, Shoma and Akira. Her parents are landlords of the apartment complex they live in.
Chiaki is energetic and playful girl who loves to hang out with her friends as much as possible. Chiaki is somewhat tom-boyish and she often embarrasses Nanami with her outspokeness. She's also a little pushy and whines when she doesn't get her way, but she means it all in good humor. She loves trying new things and often ends up dragging Nanami with her to try them. She is often the driving force of the outtings that her gang of friends take. Most often this includes rock concerts, cross-country overnight trips and most importantly ramen shops.
Because her house is so roudy with her trouble-making brothers, she practically lives in Nanami's house. She used to wait until she was invited, but it's gotten to the point where she just walks into Nanami's house like her own. She helps herself to things in the refridgerator and other things around the house. Nanami's parents find it amusing, since Chiaki calls them "Mom" and "Pop". She enjoys the peace and quiet (and the occassional glimpse of Keisuke running around in his boxers.) Keisuke used to complain about her always being at the house to his parents, but since they love Chiaki's company, he has given up.
Because of her outgoing personality, Chiaki is fairly popular at school. When she was younger she used to hang with the "in crowd" people, but she realized how superficial and backstabbing most of them were. Annoyed, she disassociated herself with them and now Chiaki's choice of friends are the geeky folks who the "in crowd" used to tease and talk about. Her old friends try to tease her now but Chiaki just snaps back at them and shuts them up quickly.
Creator's comments: I finally got a box of doll supplies I had been waiting for to make this doll. I knew exactly how I wanted to make Chiaki and she turned out excellent. Her eyes are larger than I usually paint on a C head but I think it suits her. I had originally made her to be the sidekick of Nanami, but she quickly took over the spotlight of the stories she's featured in.
